Recently, he was an Associate Producer on Steven Okazaki&amp;#8217;s &lt;em&gt;White Light/Black Rain&lt;/em&gt; &amp;#8212; an official selection of the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. He was also a post-production superviser for Okazaki&amp;#8217;s Academy Award-nominated short documentary, &lt;em&gt;The Mushroom Club&lt;/em&gt;. Kinomoto&amp;#8217;s own awards include the John Gutmann Memorial Filmmaker Award of Excellence and an honorarium from the Princess Grace Foundation USA. In 2004, he was in residence at the MacDowell Colony where he completed a feature film screenplay.
